The action in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 continues on Sunday as well. A total of two matches will be played in Group A. While Papua New Guinea will take on Namibia, Singapore who shocked Scotland in the opening game of the tournament are scheduled to face Bermuda. Singapore enter the game as the favourites but Namibia might give a good fight to PNG and it should be a classic encounter.

PNG come into this game after thrashing Bermuda by 10 wickets. They bundled out the opposition for just 89 runs and then chased down the target without losing a wicket in the 11th over itself. Singapore will be brimming with confidence after defeating the stronger Scotland outfit and will be hoping to add two more points to their kitty by beating Bermuda.

Pitch and Weather Report (Dubai)

The hot weather will greet both the teams on Sunday at the venue. The temperatures are expected to soar up to 36 Degrees Celsius during the course of two matches according to AccuWeather.

Both the matches will be played at the ICC Academy Ground No.2 where Scotland defeated Kenya on Saturday. The trend of batting first after winning the toss should continue in the tournament. Expect the spinners to rule the roost once again.

Match 10 – Papua New Guinea vs Namibia

PNG

Assad Vala and Tony Ura looked in good form with the bat against Bermuda. However, the rest of the batsmen might have to contribute in this game as Namibia’s bowling is better equipped. Norman Vanua was the star for PNG with a hat-trick on the day and he, along with Nosaina Pokana will be key again with the ball. Expect PNG to go in unchanged for this game as well.

Probable XI: Assad Vala (C), Tony Ura, Lega Siaka, Charles Amini, Sese Bau, Riley Hekure, Kiplin Doriga (WK), Jason Kila, Norman Vanua, Damien Ravu, Nosiana Pokana

Namibia

Namibia will need a better effort with the bat. They were skittled for just 96 runs by the Netherlands. The batsmen need to support their bowlers and expect them to go unchanged as well. Jan Frylinck at the top of the order will be crucial for their fortunes with the bat. The bowlers are expected to do their job once again.

Probable XI: Niko Davin, Gerhard Erasmus (C), JP Kotze, Craig Williams, Jan Frylinck, Christi Viljoen, Zane Green (WK), Bernard Scholtz, Helao Nafidi Ya-France, Zhivago Groenewald, JJ Smit.

Match 12 – Bermuda vs Singapore

Bermuda

Bermuda has to bat well first up to give any chance to their bowlers. Delray Rawlins is one of their best batsmen but the others have to contribute some runs to put up a fight. Kamau Leverock and Allan Douglas are decent bet with the bat as well. Derrick Brangman will lead the bowling attack for them with the others revolving around him. Namibia needs an improved show to have any chance of beating Singapore.

Probable XI: Okera Bascome (WK), Dion Stovell (C), Kamau Leverock, Delray Rawlins, Allan Douglas, Janeiro Tucker, Deunte Darrell, Malachi Jones, Rodney Trott, Onais Bascome, Derrick Brangman.

Singapore

Singapore is the team in form at the moment. Surendran Chandramohan emerged as a hero for them in the tournament opener. Tim David is their best batsman as well and they will be looking to pile on the agony for Namibia. Amjad Mahboob was the one for them who delivered in the final over against Scotland and he will be keen to lead from the front yet again.

Probable XI: Rohan Rangarajan, Surendran Chandramohan, Tim David, Aritra Dutta, Manpreet Singh (WK), Janak Prakash, Navin Param, Sidhant Singh, Amjad Mahboob (C), Vinoth Baskaran, Selladore Vijayakumar.
