The 2nd warm-up match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be played between Sri Lanka Women and South Africa Women at the Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide in South Australia.
The match starts at 11:00 AM local time (5:30 AM IST) (12:00 AM GMT)
Sri Lanka Women will lock horns with South Africa women in their first warm-up game ahead of the mega-event. Both the sides will aim to use the opportunity to the fullest to keep a track of their strength and weakness in the team. Proteas players like Nadine de Klerk, Mignon du Preez and Lizelle Lee will look to bat as long as possible to get back into the groove after a poor T20I series against New Zealand Women where they lost series by 3-1.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka women will look to find their perfect XI going into the T20 World Cup 2020. For Islanders, it will not be an easy tournament so they have will have to try and use the warm-up game against South Africa Women to gain some positives ahead of the World Cup.
It is expected to be a cloudy day on Friday with no chances of rain on the matchday. The wind is expected to blow at a rate of 18 to 26 km/hr. On the other hand, the temperature is expected to deviate between 16 and 24 Degree Celsius throughout the day according to Accuweather.
The batters are expected to have an edge against the bowlers at Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide. This ground hosted five games in WBBL 2019 in which the sides easily managed to go past the score of 150 runs. The fast bowlers can expect some help from wicket but only in the early phase of the game. And, the side winning toss might look to bat first to prepare their side for the worse conditions in the World Cup.
