The Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 is set to disburse two another exciting matches for fans. In the first encounter of the day, Pakistan Women and Thailand Women are slated to lock horns in the penultimate match of the group stages.

Pakistan Women, who are virtually out of the tournament, will be aiming to finish their campaign on a high by defeating a relatively-inexperienced Thailand side. The Women in Green have managed to clinch only one victory from their three matches so far in the mega-event.

After flagging off their World Cup heist on a positive note by defeating West Indies Women, Javeria Khan and Co. suffered consecutive defeats England and South Africa that derailed their campaign. In their previous match against the Proteas Women, Pakistan Women failed to hunt down the total of 136 runs. Javeria Khan (31) and Aliya Riaz (39) stitched vital partnerships in the middle in Pakistan Women’s pursuit. However, their efforts went down the drain as the Women in Green fell short of the target by 17 runs.

Similarly, Thailand Women have not dazzled so far in the tournament as they have been annihilated in their three matches so far. Their inconsistency and inexperience has served as a roadblock in their World Cup campaign. The Proteas Women thrashed Thailand in their previous match by a massive margin of 113 runs.

While chasing a mammoth total of 195 runs, Thailand Women’s batting force bowed down against the Proteas Women and succumbed down to the pressure to post only 82 runs on the board. Thailand will also be aiming to depart the tournament on a positive note.
