South Africa and Pakistan will face off on Sunday what could be deciding the fate of the two teams in the World Cup 2019. The Saffers have lost four of the six matches they played and are one defeat away from being knocked out from the semi-final race. At the same time, the Pakistan team have got better of England but failed in the remaining three matches. They are in a slightly better position than the Proteas but have got no time to settle down anymore.
Here we bring you the Dream11 Fantasy team based on the stats of the players:
Wicket-Keepers:
Quinton de Kock has been quite poor by his standards in this World Cup after scoring a fifty against England in the tournament opener. He crossed fifty only once since then – 68 against Afghanistan while chasing less than 150. This would make Sarfaraz Ahmed direct pick as the Pakistan skipper scored some good amount of runs recently. He has scored two fifties in his last five ODIs and also pouched seven catches.
Batsmen:
Babar Azam has been easily Pakistan’s best batsman recently and his recent numbers reflect the same. The No.3 of Pakistan has 243 runs in last five ODI innings with two fifties. Rassie van der Dussen made his ODI debut at the age of 30 but has been impressive ever since. In his previous five innings, the South African middle-order batsman aggregated 208 runs at an average of 69.33. Haris Sohail, who has 207 runs in his last five ODIs, could be brought back into the XI.
All-rounders:
There are seven players in the all-rounders’ category for this game but only four players could be seen in the playing XI. Chris Morris looks the best pick among those having claimed nine wickets in his previous five ODIs while Andile Phehlukwayo has got seven. Both the players are good at scoring handy runs in the lower order. Mohammad Hafeez is another guy who could be picked given his recent batting form and no Dale Steyn in the South African squad, the only threat to the all-rounder while facing them.
Bowlers:
Mohammad Amir has been brilliant with the ball ever since he began to bowl in England. The left-arm pacer claimed 13 wickets in this World Cup including a 5-wicket haul against Australia. Imran Tahir has done well with the ball despite his team’s struggles in the tournament. The leg-spinner has 8 wickets to his name at an average of 29.75. Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi have six wickets apiece in their last five ODIs but Lungi is in better form compared to Rabada.
