However, there is still a question mark over the fact that if IPL will take place this season. BCCI is expected to come out with their final decision soon. Also, there is a doubt on the availability of the overseas players that are not in consent to travel under alarming conditions. Meanwhile, there is an update regarding David Warner’s participation and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) can be happy about it.

David Warner is one of the most destructive batsmen in the shorter format of the game across the globe. He is one of the main reasons, SRH has managed to reap success in the cash-rich league. His importance for the team can be measured over the fact that he has won orange cap thrice (2015, 2017 and 2019). Moreover, he mustered a total of 848 runs in 17 games with the help of nine fifties in the year 2016 when SRH managed to win their maiden IPL title.

The absence of such a player is no less than a big loss for any team. But, SRH can be happy after David Warner’s manager said that if IPL will be held this season then the Australian will surely take part in it. But, if the league gets abandoned then things will be different. Also, the situation regarding the COVID-19 will also play an important role in the same.

“If the IPL is on, David Warner’s planning on going. If things change dramatically, which can happen in the space of an hour, the answer is you change your mind,” Warner’s manager James Erskine said as quoted by The Age. Mitchell Marsh and Billy Stanlake are the other two Aussie cricketers who will play for SRH this season.

But, there is still no update regarding their participation in the cash-rich league. BCCI is scheduled to take a decision over the commencement of IPL next month. As far as reports are concerned looking forward to the conditions, the tournament might get postponed to next couple of months or will get abandoned this year keeping the health of the players and the fans in mind.
