Preview

After whitewashing the West Indies in the ODI series, the Indian team will square up in the three-match T20I series. India last played a T20I series against New Zealand last year and defeated them by a margin of 3-0. The Indian team would be missing the services of Washington Sundar, KL Rahul, and Axar Patel in this series.

Sundar sustained a left hamstring muscle strain during fielding in the third ODI and has been ruled out. Kuldeep Yadav would be replacing Sundar in the squad. Rahul also sustained an upper left hamstring strain during fielding in the 2nd ODI. Axar recently tested positive for Covid-19 and has undergone the final stage of rehabilitation. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Deepak Hooda have replaced the two players in the Indian team.

IND vs WI Risky Captaincy Choices

Suryakumar Yadav made his T20I debut last year against England in March. He has made 244 runs in 11 T20Is at an average of 34.85 and a strike rate of 155.41. The last time India played at the Eden Gardens, Surya was dismissed for a duck. He might be a risky choice as the captain of your fantasy team.

Kyle Mayers made his T20I debut in November 2020 and has featured in four matches. He has been able to make only 96 runs and is yet to score a half-century. You can take a risk of picking him as the captain of your fantasy team.

Player you should avoid

Kuldeep Yadav walks into the Indian squad in place of Washington Sundar. Kuldeep featured in the third ODI against West Indies and picked two wickets. He last played a T20I for India in July last year and you can avoid him in your fantasy team.
