India beat Sri Lanka in style to reach the finals of the Blind T20 World Cup 2017. The men in blue beat the Lankans by 10 wickets in the semi-final match. Indian opener, J Prakash scored an unbeaten century to take India home. After winning the toss, India decided to bowl first. Sri Lanka were restricted to a 174 as none of the batsmen could get going.

Suranga Sampath top scored with a quick fire 49 off 37 deliveries while Chandana Deshapriya also managed a 42 off 35 deliveries. The Indians bowlers bowled very well and their fielding was even better. Hosts were outstanding with their ground fielding on the day as they managed to run out four of the Sri Lankan batters.

Sunil and Ranbir Panwar were the best bowlers for India as they picked up 2 wickets a piece. Golu Kumar and Ajay shared a wicket each. As a result of this magnificent bowling and fielding performance, India needed only 175 to chase in 20 overs. Their openers came out all guns blazing and gave Sri Lanka very little chance.

The Lankans could hardly get a grip on the game as J Prakash outwitted them with his excellent strokes. It was the strokeplay of the Indian openers that entirely did the job. Prakash scored a massive 115 off just 52 deliveries while Ajay also scored a solid half century. He played the steady role in the partnership as Prakash was smacking the ball around. Their opening stand was enough to see Team India home.

The second semi-final will played at the Alur Ground and the final will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
