International cricket action might have eluded Pakistan for a long time now. However, they might well see some flavor of international cricket return to the abandoned cricket venue yet again. As per the recent reports in Nation.com.pk, the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) has confirmed that the Indian blind cricket team will tour Pakistan later this year. The tour will comprise of an ODI series followed by a T20I series.

While speaking to APP, the PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah spoke at length about the same. He mentioned that he will be discussing the tour with the Indian blind cricket council to finalize the schedule and other details. “I will be discussing with our Indian counterparts regarding the Indian team’s tour here and hopefully it will be materialized at the end of this year,” he quoted.

Before the tour, India is all set to host the second edition of the World Blind T20 this year. The PBCC Chairman is hopeful that the Pakistani team will lift the trophy. He pointed out that the practice for the tournament is going in full flow. As many as 20 players are a part of the preparatory camp for the mega event. 17 players will tour India for the tournament.

“Hopefully we will get the Indian visas on Wednesday and the team will depart for India on January 28. As many as 20 players are featuring in the camp and the final squad for the mega event will comprise of 17 players,” he added further.

Among the other participating teams for the tournament are Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Nepal. “Besides, Pakistan and India, teams from Australia, England, New Zealand South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and Nepal are also participating in the tournament,” Syed conceded. Pakistan will lock horns with India on February 1 in the tournament.
