The day one of the 2nd rounds of the Buchi Babu tournament witnessed the likes of Mumbai and Saurashtra bundled for low totals while Kerala and Baroda post 300+ totals. Tomorrow, Suresh Raina will be coming out to bat for probably the last time in the tournament as he is set to join India Blue team for the Duleep Trophy which kicks off from September 7th.

Ashaysar Desai scored an unbeaten 59 off 125 and witnessed his side losing their last five wickets for just 10 runs. The final four batsmen in the Mumbai innings bagged ducks as UP leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari picked up a 5-wicket haul. Jackson scored a quickfire 120-run knock, which came off just 106 balls with the help of 10 fours and seven sixes while Snell Patel scored 69 off 113 balls which included nine fours. Chaitanya Bishnoi’s 5-wicket haul forced the batting side to collapse from 191/2 to 236/10. Haryana ended the day at 101/4 with another 136 runs needed for a win.
