The relations between India and Pakistan is hidden to none. The countries often find themselves in a tussle, be it their political relation or their cricketing ties. India has often mulled the possibility of playing Pakistan in any bilateral series even after a number of requests which has come from Pakistan. However, the two sides have faced each other in the ICC organized tournaments.

The soar relation between the two have once again surfaced as Pakistan Observer, a Pakistan-based website has claimed that Indian government has denied a visa to Pakistani-born Hasnain, an official who was to represent Zimbabwe Cricket as the managing director in the ICC meeting which is underway in Kolkata.

Both ICC and BCCI tried to sort the issue: Hasnain

Hasnain who has been stuck in Dubai due to the visa issue spoke to the website over a phone and said that both the ICC and the BCCI did their best by following-up daily. “I understand that in the last 10 to 12 days, no Pakistani related visas have been issued. The ICC and the BCCI have followed up on a daily basis, but with no joy,” said Hasnain over the phone.

Notably, a couple of weeks earlier, Pakistan Cricket Board chief Najam Sethi and CEO Shubhan Ahmed did not find any trouble in getting their visas. Hasnain suggested that he has been visiting India since 2004 and did not find any issues earlier. “By the way, I have been travelling regularly to India since 2004 and until last year I had multiple entry visas to enter India”, said the Zimbwabe Cricket MD.

Hasnain suggested that If he had the visa, he was hoping for few meetings in Mumbai with the BCCI and Sony. “If I had received the visa, it is likely that I would have stopped over in Mumbai for a day or so to have meetings with the BCCI and with Sony”, Hasnain said to the website.

Chris Chiketa and Ronald Chibwe are the Zimbwabe representative for the ICC meetings as chairman of Zimbwabe Cricket Tawengwa Mukuhlani to missed the meeting due to another important meeting.
