The Team India is all set to undergo a training camp before they lock horns with England in the limited overs series. India are scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is against England. The first ODI will be played on January 15, 2017. As per the reports in TOI, the weeklong camp will take place at Bengaluru. The conditioning camp is expected to heed the head coach Anil Kumble and the team management a chance to see the fitness levels of all the players.

The team management will get a good chance to have a first-hand look at the injury concerns of the players before the series commences. The team England was recently drubbed 4-0 by the Indian team. India thoroughly outplayed the visitors in the Test series. Despite starting on a shaky ground in the first Test, the men under the leadership of Virat Kohli snatched 4 wins in a row. Now, the captaincy baton is passed to MS Dhoni and the action shifts to limited overs. The team for the ODI and the T20I series is expected to be announced in the first week of January.

The conditioning camp at Bengaluru is also scheduled to end by January 12 before the teams will head to Pune the next day. On January 13, the Indian team will attend the MAK Pataudi lecture that will be delivered by former Indian cricketer Farokh Engineer.

Also, the England team will be playing a couple of practice games on the tour. India might receive a big boost in the form of Ashish Nehra. The veteran lanky pacer is fit and is raring to go. As per the reports, Nehra will be a part of the practice matches where he will try to prove his match fitness before he is available for national selection. Team India had a heavy season ahead at the start of January 2017.
