A marathon effort from Cheteshwar Pujara held India in the game on day 3 as the hosts ended the day with the scoreboard reading 360/6 with 91 runs still behind Australia’s first innings total. After a 102-run stand with Murali Vijay in the first session, Pujara carried on his innings with brisk stands as India kept losing wickets regularly in the next two sessions.
