After a dismal performance in the India v New Zealand Test series, the visitors would be looking to put on a better show in the ODI series to regain their No.3 spot in ICC rankings. A whitewash will put them ahead of South Africa and decimal points below the no.1 side Australia. Team India on the other side, has rested few of their regular players.

With just 8 ODIs in hand for India before the Champions Trophy next year, they have a lot to take away from this series.
