An action-packed last-ball thriller in Vizag saw the visitors edge past India in a low-scoring encounter. The fraternity might witness something exactly opposite in terms of run-scoring as Bangalore, the batsmen’s paradise will play hosts to the second and final T20I of the tour.

Indian batsmen struggled against Pat Cummins, Jason Behrendorff and Jhye Richardson and all they could manage in their 20 overs was 126 runs. It was a below-par total by their standards but Indian bowlers did a fantastic job to take the game to the final ball. Jasprit Bumrah stood out yet again, indicating why he’s one of the best in the business.

A bigger challenge awaits both sides as both bowling units won’t find it easy bowling in Bangalore. KL Rahul scored a fifty for the hosts while Glenn Maxwell did the same for the visiting team but come Wednesday, we might not witness batsmen struggling so much.

Pitch and weather report

The weather will remain a bit cloudy but no rain is expected. It will be a typical Bangalore night and the pitch too might remain pretty flat and dry, just the way it usually is. Spinners might find some purchase towards the second innings, but its mostly going to be a batters’ day on Wednesday.

Playing combinations

India

India might rest vice-captain Rohit Sharma to accommodate Shikhar Dhawan in the XI. He will open alongside KL Rahul, with skipper Virat Kohli coming at number three. Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni, Dinesh Karthik, and Krunal Pandya will be forming the middle order for the hosts.

Siddarth Kaul is expected to replace Umesh Yadav after the latter had a forgettable outing in Vizag. Jasprit Bumrah will continue to lead the bowling attack in the company of three spinners in Krunal Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Mayank Markande.

Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (c), Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni (wk), Dinesh Karthik/Vijay Shankar, Krunal Pandya, Siddarth Kaul, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mayank Markande.
