Team India is all set to take on the South Africans in a five-match T20I series that is set to begin on June 9 (Thursday). KL Rahul will lead the Men in Blue, whereas the Proteas will be led by their regular skipper Temba Bavuma. Both teams have announced a strong squad and the series will be something to look out for, with some of the finest cricketers in action.

India will be eying a victory in the series to create a world record for most successive T20I wins. India has won the previous 12 T20Is, thereby leveling with Afghanistan and Romania. India’s winning streak began last year at the T20 World Cup, though they later got eliminated from the semi-final race. India overcame Afghanistan before completely dominating Scotland and Namibia after failing to win against Pakistan and New Zealand.

The Proteas squad includes some of the finest performers of the IPL 2022 who were at their best for their respective teams. Former skipper Quinton de Kock,  David Miller, Anrich Nortje, Dwaine Pretorious, Kagiso Rabada, and newcomer Tristan Stubbs are all a part of the Proteas squad. While  India will look to extend their record-winning streak, the Proteas will be eyeing a series win away from home.
