Michael Clarke, the former Australia skipper and veteran of the subcontinent believes that India will come back stronger in the upcoming Test match against Australia to be played in Bangalore. The 35-year old, who is the commentator in the ongoing series has lauded both skippers, especially Virat Kohli who was perhaps one of those who did not hold back on his side’s performance on the day.

While Clarke was certainly pleased with the honesty shown by Kohli, it was quite certain that he was surprised in the manner in which Australia secured a win in the Test match. He was also quite clear that he was surprised and believed that the Indians will be coming at the Aussies with all they had in their belly.

“(I was) surprised with the way Australia won. Virat Kohli spoke really well after the defeat. He was open and honest. India will look to improve in the next Test. I think this is a really good test for his captaincy. He’s a good enough player he’s shown that and I believe he’s a good enough captain to get his team back up and that’s why I can’t wait to see the second Test in Bangalore. (It’s) too early to believe Australia can win the series. India are still favourites”, Clarke told India Today.

The second Test match begins on the 4th of March at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. This venue is hosting a Test match after quite some time. However this is expected to be one of those venues that assists the batsmen and allows them to play their shots freely without fear of losing their wicket.
