India registered their 2nd straight ODI series win over England as they defeated the CWC Champions as they took a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Shikha Pandey (4/18) and Jhulan Goswami (4/30) claimed four-wicket hauls to restrict the visiting team to 161. Natalie Sciver scored a 108-ball 85 without which England might not have crossed 100. Smriti Mandhana top-scored for India with a 74-ball 63 by sharing fifty-run stands with Punam Raut (32) and Mithali Raj (47*) as they reached the target in 41.1 overs.

Yet another series win for India Women:
4 – This was the 4th consecutive ODI series/tournaments win for India Women; their joint-longest series winning streak in this format. India won the same number of ODI series/tournaments on the trot heading into the 2017 Women’s World Cup.
This is also the 2nd time that India won four consecutive bilateral ODI series. They won five bilateral series in a row between 1999 and 2002.
Pacers shine for India:
1 – Shikha Pandey and Jhulan Goswami became the first pair to take 4-wicket hauls in the same innings for India Women in ODIs. This is only the 18th instance in Women’s cricket where two bowlers picked up 4-fers in the same innings.
8 – Number of wickets claimed by the Indian pacers in this game; the most by them in a Women’s ODI. The Indian Women pacers picked up seven wickets in four different ODI games in the past.
8 – Jhulan Goswami picked her 8th 4-wicket haul in the ODI format. Only Cathryn Fitzpatrick (11) and Anisa Mohammed (11) have picked more 4-fers than Goswami in Women’s ODI cricket. Dane van Niekerk also has eight 4-wicket hauls in ODIs.

50 – Sarah Taylor became only the 2nd Women with 50 stumpings in ODI cricket by affecting the stumping of Punam Raut. Former Indian keeper Anju Jain leads the list for now with 51 stumpings to her name.
Mandhana carries her form:
117.8 – Smriti Mandhana’s batting average while chasing in ODI cricket since the start of 2018. In this span, Mandhana scored a fifty-plus score in all the eight innings she has batted while chasing. She scored 589 runs across the eight innings with seven fifties and a century. Mandhana’s runs came at an S/R of 96.87 in these eight games.
Mithali continues her good record in chases:
32 – Mithali Raj has been unbeaten on 32 occasions in successful ODI chases which is the most by any player in Women’s cricket. The next most unbeaten knocks in successful chases in Women’s ODI cricket are 21 by Karen Rolton.
Across Men’s and Women’s ODIs, only MS Dhoni (46), Jony Rhodes (33) and Inzamam-ul-Haq (32) have remained unbeaten in successful chases as many times as Mithali.
A partnership that frustrated India:
42 – The partnership of 42 runs between Natalie Sciver and Alex Hartley is the highest partnership for England Women for the 10th wicket in ODIs. The pair surpassed unbeaten 41-run stands by Shrubsole-Hazell pair in 2016 and Brunt-Ecclestone in 2018 coming against South Africa.
