Indian head coach Ravi Shastri might or might not have a good reputation as far as his coaching role is concerned but he is certainly known for one of his infamous habits. It is widely believed in the cricketing fraternity that Shastri loves his alcohol and never misses a chance to gulp down some. At times his critics also tend to indirectly indicate that he is in under influence most of the times.

In the middle of the ongoing Test series in England, Shastri put up a promotional video for a brand. He is holding a sports drink in his hand, wearing a hat and sunglasses, Shastri in his typical commentary styles said: “It’s a bloody hot day in London, time to cool down with some ipro and then turn the heat on.”

Interestingly former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly in a recent interview had also indicated the same. He told Gaurav Kapur that Shastri shouldn’t be interviewed in the morning as he doesn’t remember a lot then rather than inviting him on the breakfast show in the morning call him for a chat in the evening and he will know what he’s talking about.

“You don’t interview in the morning, don’t bring him (Shastri) on the breakfast show he wouldn’t remember what he said. When I meet him I will tell him what do you say on the breakfast show, that never happened I don’t know where he got that from. But don’t interview him in the morning, do it in the evening he will be able to recall things better,” Ganguly said on Breakfast with Champions.

Here are some of the replies from angry fans on Twitter:

It will be interesting to see if Shastri or someone from the Indian cricket management replies on his being drunk claims.
