Though Duncan Fletcher did manage to produce decent results in the limited-overs cricket in his tenure after taking over from Kirsten, the team’s performance in Test cricket kept getting worse. India lost every big series away from home and also lost a Test series at home after a long time.

India’s record under Duncan Fletcher:

Tests 39 13 17 0 9 0.764 33.33
ODIs 107 64 35 3 5 1.828 59.81
T20Is 25 15 10 0 0 1.5 60
Internationals 171 92 62 3 14 1.483 53.8
