Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has become a household named in Australian cricket circuit. His heroics in his second ODI for the national outfit has earned him a lot of praises from all corners. He scored an unbeaten 146 off mere 117 balls during Australia’s run chase of 286 against New Zealand in the first ODI of the Chappell-Hadlee series. His efforts went in vain though as Australia fell short by 6 runs eventually. Earlier in the game, he had scalped three wickets too. In the process, he became the first Australian player to score a century and take 3 wickets in an ODI match.

The 27-year old Marcus Stoinis has recently credited his success to Indian high-performance coach Anand Chulani. He has now signed him in a bid to make his potential come out and perform exceedingly well at the highest level. Anand Chulani is India’s best peak performance coach and has had trained players like tennis superstar Serena Williams, Kiwi cricketer Ross Taylor etc. He has also worked with popular author Anthony Robbins. Chulani was earlier a part of comedian Russell Peters’ show as one of the “gurus of comedy”.

Apparently, Marcus Stoinis had first met during a practice camp for Kings XI Punjab in the previous edition of the IPL. He had then subsequently been the star performer for the Kings and was the lone ranger for him as the team ended up with the wooden spoon. Stoinis mentioned that meeting Anand Chulani was a key moment in his life. He is now looking excited to continue his work with the high-performance coach.

“My time working with peak performance and mental conditioning coach Anand Chulani with Kings XI Punjab in the IPL has been a key moment in my career. We’ve continued to work since the IPL and that has helped me bring out my potential. I’ve always believed in myself but our work has helped me develop the mindset of a champion and a process to deliver my best. I am excited to continuing to work with him for a long time and helping my country and the Kings XI franchise win games,” quoted Marcus Stoinis.

Chulani was also happy to be working with him. He called Stoinis a very committed player and said ‘he had everything needed to succeed’.

“I met Marcus when we worked together at Kings XI Punjab and I knew he was a champion. I am incredibly grateful to our coach and to the franchise and owners for an opportunity to work with such a talented and committed player.  He has everything to succeed. If I can play a small part in helping him actualize who he was born to be, then it would be my honour. This is just the start of bigger things to come for him and I will back him all the way,” quoted Anand Chulani as per the quotes in Sportskeeda.
