Captain: For a very good reason, Kagiso Rabada has picked bucketful of wickets this season. The South African has bowled at express pace and have nailed the yorkers at will to deny teams to get into the ascendancy. With 19 wickets from 9 games, Rabada is the leading wicket-taker in the IPL and will be a force to reckon with for the Punjab batsmen.

Vice-Captain: KL Rahul has batted very responsibly this year and hasn’t put his foot down on the paddle almost immediately. He is taking a lot more sighters before he finally explodes than he used to do which has helped Punjab in the middle overs since their middle order hasn’t done well at all. Despite a measured approach, Rahul is striking at almost 130 and has already registered a century.

Fantasy Tips

Ishant has brought all his experience into play this year and in doing so, has bowled exceptionally well in the Powerplay. He will play a major role for Delhi when Gayle and Rahul will walk out to bat. Axar Patel has dried up the scoring in the middle and could control the flow of runs against a lacklustre middle order of Punjab.

His strike rate, however, is standing high at 154.60. Pant will love to increase that average soon.

Vice-Captain: Gayle has not only been consistent – 352 runs in 8 innings at 50.28 – but has stayed true to his style of batting which reflects in his season strike rate of 155. The Jamaican has made it a point to bat deep in the innings in the absence of quality batsmen in the middle which has paid rich dividends both for him and the team.

Miller played a sizzling knock of 40 in the previous game to give Punjab wheels towards the end of the innings. He will hold the key if Punjab lose their in-form openers cheaply. His contest against Mishra will be a visual delight.
