Defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad bagged their third consecutive win at home but not without a scare from Manan Vohra who almost chased down the SRH’s total of 159/6 alone with a blistering 95 but a top effort from Bhuvneshwar Kumar didn’t make it happen by taking out 5 Kings XI Punjab batters including the all-important wicket of Vohra. Here we look at all the records and stats created during the game.

1 – Bhuvneshwar Kumar recorded the first ever five-wicket haul for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. Previous best figures by a bowler for SRH were 4/14 by Bhuvi himself in 2014 vs RR.

4 – Number of ducks for Yuvraj Singh in IPL so far. The duck in this game was his first golden duck in IPL.

4 – Mohammad Nabi became the 4th player an associate nation to feature in IPL. Other three are Ryan Ten Doeschate, Tanmay Mishra and Rashid Khan.

5 – Number of the man of the match awards for Bhuvneshwar Kumar in IPL, all of those since 2014. During this period, no specialist bowler has got as many match awards as Bhuvi in IPL.

5 – Number of consecutive innings in which David Warner has scored a fifty vs KXIP in IPL, the 2nd most consecutive fifty-plus scores for a player vs a single opposition in IPL. Warner himself score 7 fifty-plus vs RCB in as many innings.

5/19 – Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling figures of 5/19 are the 2nd best for an Indian pacer in IPL. Best figures: 5/12 by Ishant Sharma for DC vs KTK in 2011.

45 – Balls taken by David Warner for his fifty, his slowest in IPL so far. Previous slowest was in 44 balls for DD vs DC in 2011.

48 – Slowest fifty in IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad is in 48 balls by Shikhar Dhawan vs Rising Pune Supergiant in 2016 at Hyderabad. David Warner’s 45-balls fifty is the 2nd slowest for SRH behind Dhawan.

61.68 – Percentage of team’s runs scored by Manan Vohra during the KXIP innings, the 4th highest percentage in a completed innings in IPL.

81 – Matches taken by Bhuvneshwar Kumar to complete 100 wickets in IPL, the 2nd fewest games taken by anyone for 100 wickets in IPL. Lasith Malinga took 70 games to complete 100 IPL wickets.

95 – Manan Vohra’s 95 is the joint 2nd highest individual score in losing cause while chasing. Yusuf Pathan’s 100 vs MI in 2010 was the highest. Shaun Marsh too scored 95 vs DD in 2011 for KXIP.

100 – Number of wickets Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken in IPL so far. He is the 9th bowler and 5th pacer to take 100 wickets in IPL.
