The swing king who bagged the purple cap even in the 2016 season has been the standout bowler for Hyderabad even in this edition and has already bagged 25 wickets in 13 outings. He produced a magical spell against the Kings XI Punjab in the 19th match of the tournament which handed Hyderabad a sensational victory in the final over.

Chasing a modest target of 159, Punjab was pegged early by Bhuvi with the prized wickets of Hashim Amla and Glenn Maxwell. The South African star was out first ball as an inswinging delivery crashed on to his pads and there was no hesitation in the umpire’s mind to rule it in favour of the bowling team. Maxwell failed to get holed of a length delivery and was holed out at the deep.

After An impressive opening spell, Bhuvi came back strongly and removed Mohit Sharma and KC Cariappa but Manan Vohra was still in the middle and going great guns. It was a brilliant Yorker by the pacer which brought an end to a brilliant innings by Manan Vohra. From there Punjab’s challenge ended and Hyderabad clinched the nail-biting thriller by 5 runs.
