IPL 10: Yuvraj, Warner hail Rishabh Pant as 'special' talent

The hard-hitting young batsman from Delhi Daredevils, Rishabh Pant, has taken the cricket world by storm with his batting prowess. He had shown glimpses of his talent when he had hammered Umesh Yadav for 26 runs in one over during a game against the Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the tournament. In the recent times, it was his superlative innings of 97 against the Gujarat Lions that has fetched him praises from all corners.

Among the latest to join the list of admirers were the Sunrisers Hyderabad cricketers – Yuvraj Singh and David Warner. Both players opined that Rishabh Pant has something special about him. The way he takes the bowlers to the cleaners has been a highlight of his batting. His knock of 97 had come off just 43 balls. Warner picked Rishabh over the other two impressive youngsters Ishan Kishan and Nitish Rana.

“All three are different, but I think Rishabh Pant is special. His stroke play from ball one has been just exceptional in a couple of occasions.  He is definitely a powerhouse to keep an eye out for,” quoted David Warner as per the quotes in the India Today.

Veteran batsman Yuvraj Singh also spoke on the same lines as even he picked Rishabh Pant as the best among the younger lot. Yuvraj feels the kind of form the 19-year old has been is tremendous. He has a lot to offer the game in India. Yuvraj added that Pant is certainly a player for the future. The ‘extra’ bit of talent is what seperates Pant from the rest.

“They all are doing well, I just fell that Rishabh has a very dynamic game. he is very young, he is getting better with every season. He will be definitely be the player in the future. Ishan Kishan looks promising, so does Nitish Rana, but Rishabh has just a extra bit of talent.”
