With a top notch squad and the right amount of ingredients required to bag the Indian Premier League (IPL) Trophy, the Royal Challengers Bangalore are all set to give their dream of becoming champions another go. Previously, the Bangalore based franchise have appeared in three finals, losing all of them to the Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings and the Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively.
Led by captain Virat Kohli, the men in red will start their journey by travelling to Hyderabad to take on the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. The team boasts of some of the biggest names from the world of cricket including captain Kohli, the destructive Chris Gayle and AB de Villers who is the number one batsman in the world when it comes to One Day internationals.
The strength of this team does not stay restricted to these dangerous batsmen they also have phenomenal Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson who has been a serious game changer both with the bat and the ball. The 35-year-old is one of the many players who used the IPL as a platform to cement his berth in the national team and has been a tremendous success story of the tournament in its previous editions.
The bowling department is also a decent bunch with the likes of Adam Milne, Samuel Badree and Tymal Mills of England who was bought for a monumental 12 crore during the 2017 auctions. Indian players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Stuart Binny, Kedhar Jadav and Lokesh Rahul will provide a formidable support to the overseas players maintaining a proper balance in the team.
To keep things short RCB is definitely a team to watch out for in the tournament as they will go all guns blazing in hunt for their maiden IPL trophy. After a trip away from home the RCB team will host the Delhi Daredevils at home and then again move to Indore to lock horn with the Kings XI Punjab.
