It was another crucial encounter for the Kings XI Punjab. They had to win this game to make it easier for them to reach the qualifiers. They were expected to defeat the Rajasthan Royals quite easily.

However, there was Jos Buttler standing in between the victory for KXIP and a loss. He was the difference between both the sides. Jos Buttler scored 82 to help the Royals put a score of 158 runs on the board. He was supported by Sanju Samson and Ben Stokes to a small extent.

Yet again, KL Rahul was the lone warrior in the chase. He remained not out on 95 but didn’t have any sort of support from the other batsmen. Only one batsman other than KL reached the double figure mark and KXIP fell short by 15 runs in the game.
