The 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) was much bigger and better than the previous editions. It provided the fans with some great entertainment. Chennai Super Kings emerged victorious in the league while the Sunrisers Hyderabad finished second.

However, as the league ends, the problems for all the teams do not. The teams have struggled with revamped squads this edition. Right combinations were tough to find and the short-comings of the squads were only to be known on the field. Hence, franchises would be working very soon on their squads and will be looking for the right fits into their teams. So, we might see a few players being dropped as well. These players haven’t lived up to the expectations and ended up being huge disappointments.

Here are the overseas players who could be dropped from each team for IPL 2019:

1. Imran Tahir | Chennai Super Kings

The South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir was a part of the IPL winning CSK team this year. The 39-year-old leg spinner is one of the best leg-spinners in the world. However, his IPL record isn’t that great. Although Tahir picks wickets, he tends to leak a lot of runs. Chennai bought him for INR 1 crore this year.

With the kind of bowling that CSK has, leaking runs isn’t an ideal scenario for them. Also, age is catching up quick on Tahir and he isn’t as effective as he earlier was. This year, Tahir has only picked 6 wickets in 6 games and conceded runs at over 9 per over which is not so pleasing. Hence, we might see him being dropped next year.
