IPL 2018: Tom Moody terms one bowler of their team as a 'puzzle' for other teams

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are on a roll ever since the new decade of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has commenced. They are yet to lose a game this season and their bowlers have taken care of restricting the opposition to a meagre total in all the three matches. Undoubtedly, the bowling attack of SRH is the best this year and the teams have to figure out a way to score runs against them. However, their coach Tom Moody feels that one of their bowlers will remain a puzzle for other teams during this season.

The team is currently enjoying a break in between the hectic schedule of the cash-rich T20 league and will play their next game against Kings XI Punjab on April 19 in Mohali. They are also sitting pretty at the top of the points table with 3 wins out after as many matches. Their bowlers haven’t conceded more than 160 this season so far when other bowling attacks have gone for more than 200 runs.

Rashid ‘puzzle’

Tom Moody has showered praises on the leg-spinner from Afghanistan Rashid Khan as he remains the mystery bowler for other teams even after playing at the highest level for more than 2 years. “Rashid is a pretty unique cricketer and he’s had a lot of success with us last year. He’s gone from strength to strength in the various tournaments that he has played around the world and also when he’s representing his country,” he was quoted as saying by India Today.

The former Australian cricketer also termed him as ‘an interesting piece of puzzle’ for other teams and felt that he will continue to take wickets this season as well. “He’s an important piece to our puzzle given that there’s an element of mystery around him and he has that real potency as a wicket-taker. So he’s important,” Moody added.
