The Indian Premier League (IPL) season twelve gets underway on March 23. The tournament this year will be played earlier than usual due to the World Cup 2019 and the general elections in India. Chennai Super Kings are the defending champions as the team in their comeback season made a massive statement. They picked the right team for the demands of the tournament and it paid off immediately.

In 2019, however, the challenge will be different. The scenario for the participation of the Indian international players who will be playing the World Cup isn’t clear. With the likes of Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and even JaspritBumrah playing key roles for their franchises it is tough to predict which team will have access to which player and for what duration. However, there are a lot of precise IPL predictions of the winners with odds and other required details.

The IPL franchises picked up only a few players at the auction, while a major chunk of the squads remained the same. It will be quite a task when the international teams dish out the schedules for their players. Most teams if not all will not want their premier players who will be featured in the World Cup with less than a fortnight’s gap to play the whole of the IPL.

Among the eight teams here are the four teams that have the best chance to win the tournament:

1. Chennai Super Kings:

Remember the defending champions? It is a team that has the winning code, they know how to win, with a skipper like Dhoni, who knows how to get the best out of the players, CSK will continue to be a front runner for the title in IPL 2019 as well.

2. Kolkata Knight Riders:

The previous season might have not ended the way the Kolkata-based franchise would’ve imaged however, the side led by Dinesh Karthik has the potential. They picked a lot of young talent last season along with their seasoned players and backed them to come good. 2019 might just be the season when they deliver the dividends.

3. Sunrisers Hyderabad:

What happens when David Warner returns to the fold? Kane Williamson the calm and composed captain led his team to the final of IPL 2018 having taken over the reins at the last moment. Even if Warner comes into the team as just a batter it will add a lot of firepower to the strong SRH team and the Aussie will be hungry to make it count.
