Indian Premier League is around the corner and every team is gearing up to play to their full potential. Teams are working up various combinations to play ahead of IPL 2020. Most of the teams have all their bases covered whereas those who do not, they are likely to strengthen their already strengthened bases so that the opponents do not exploit their weakness.

Cricket in India is nothing less than a religion where most people find Sachin Tendulkar their god. The amount of talent India has on the streets is way more than the talent produced in other countries. Currently, team India has so many reserves, waiting for an opportunity to knock the door, that they could make 4 teams and play amongst themselves.

However, amidst the fears of Coronavirus, the foreign players wouldn’t have been a part of IPL 2020 until April 15. Keeping this in mind, IPL has now been postponed and will start on April 15 and it is highly likely that the matches will be played in empty stadiums. Wondering how each team would look like if there were no foreign players in the current IPL?

Let us rate IPL 2020 teams without their foreign players in IPL 2020:

8. Rajasthan Royals – 6.5/10

Rajasthan Royals are the inaugural winners of the Indian Premier League. After the first season, Rajasthan never looked as deadly and were never the contenders. In the first season too, it was an overseas player who led them to victory as Shane Warne captained Rajasthan Royals.

Over the years, Rajasthan have had big names as well as emerging talents in their team. It is Rajasthan Royals that gave rise to Sanju Samson and there are players like Ajinkya Rahane too, who made quite a mark for Rajasthan. For a lot of time, Shane Watson was an integral part of the squad before he was not a part of the team anymore. One big problem for Rajasthan has always been playing together as a unit, they always failed to do so.

In this season, Rajasthan heavily rely on their overseas strength to win them an IPL trophy after over a decade. They have Steve Smith, Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, and Jos Buttler in their squad. However, if they fail to make it to the playing XI for one reason or another, Rajasthan Royals could find themselves in big trouble. Playing XI of Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 without the foreign players would be:

Predicted XI: Manan Vohra, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Robin Uthappa (C), Sanju Samson (WK), Riyan Parag, Anuj Rawat, Shreyas Gopal, Rahul Tewatia, Jaydev Unadkat, Ankit Rajpoot, Akash Singh

Batting: 7.5/10, Bowling: 7/10, Overall: 6.5/10
