Mumbai Indians are struggling in the Indian Premier League after quite some time. They have lost six out of their 10 matches and it has become quite crucial for them to come back from this. If they have to qualify they need to start winning matches. The same is for the Punjab Kings, who continue to struggle with their ups and downs. It should be noted though that Punjab had beaten Mumbai in the first leg.

Here are 3 players you can avoid in fantasy teams for MI vs PBKS game:

  1. Hardik Pandya

There are times when power-hitters don’t find their timing properly and Pandya is going through that kind of a phase in his career right now. Batting at no. 7 isn’t the easiest thing to do and when you are not in form, but you are trying to score runs quickly, it doesn’t help your cause. The whole Mumbai Indians batting unit seems to be struggling at this moment and Hardik has started looking like a weak link in their batting. He has stopped delivering with the ball, which makes his run of low scores even worse than they are. It wouldn’t be a bad option to go for his elder brother, Krunal instead as an all-rounder’s pick.

  1. Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss recently celebrated his 42nd birthday and this may well be his last stint in the IPL or professional cricket. With time, batters struggle against pace, which has been a case for Gayle. He doesn’t seem most comfortable against pace and this year has been dismissed quite a number of times in similar fashions. With Mumbai having a gun pace attack, it is better you avoid him in your fantasy team and rather pick some other players. Don’t be surprised if he is dropped from the XI like he was in the first game of the UAE leg.

  1. Deepak Hooda

Deepak Hooda has had a rough year so far. Starting from his suspension from his domestic side with his lack of form after starting well in the IPL 2021. Throughout his career, consistency has been a factor for him which hasn’t just been the best. He is a superb timer of the ball and can contribute to his team’s cause in more than one way, but for Punjab Kings, it doesn’t seem like his game is coming together at the right time. It would be better to avoid him in this game.
