Kolkata Knight Riders have been on fire since the second leg of the Indian Premier League 2021 has begun in the UAE. They have played four and won three so far which could’ve been four. Punjab, on the other hand, too should’ve won more than they have but their form isn’t too good running into KKR. As these two teams meet each other, we can expect fans to get a great opportunity to earn some fantasy points.

Here are 3 players to avoid in fantasy teams of the KKR vs PBKS game:

1. Sandeep Warrier

Sandeep Warrier made an appearance for Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous match and didn’t have a great impact with the ball. He was used by his captain Eoin Morgan just for two overs upfront and he gave 15 runs with the ball. Considering how Morgan has managed his bowlers and used them in death overs, it seems unlikely that Warrier will play a huge role even if he continues to get picked. On top of that, he is not very much of a wicket-taking bowler anyway. He might be used just in the powerplay because he has a bit of pace and can swing the ball slightly.

2. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle’s form with the bat this year hasn’t been great. Through the entire year, it has almost been like the teams which are choosing him in their XI are just hoping that the law of averages will someday catch up and he will score some runs. Instead, his form just keeps slumping down and down. In the field as well, he is becoming more and more of a liability. It should also be noted that he has always struggled against Sunil Narine. Considering how a smart captain he is, Morgan will definitely use the West Indian off-spinner in front of the Universe Boss.

3. Eoin Morgan

Much like Gayle, Morgan has had a year to forget. His tactics in the second leg have been quite admirable but his batting has taken a dip. He has previously found it tough to make runs consistently in the IPL and it seems that it is becoming more and more of an issue with time passing on. Having said that, it should be noted that the middle-order batter hasn’t been scoring runs for his franchise or national team this year. His struggles with the form might just continue if KL Rahul decides to bring on some pace in front of him or a bit of leg-spin which has seen him get caught in the deep before. Also, the off-spin of Ravi Ashwin did him in the last game.
