Last year along with MI, the KKR camp was also highly expected to do well. Because of their prolific overseas players, the side was distinctly anticipated to easily soar in for the playoffs. But as we all know that in reality the team actually endured an underlying problem of leadership crises and that’s the reason why the England skipper Eoin Morgan had to take up the captaincy. Apart from this, the team genuinely struggled with its vibrant batting order alongside some other selection issues as well.

But with the upcoming season, the KKR camp will be approaching the IPL with an all-new fresh mindset. The franchise also had a fruitful IPL auction where they did grab some value creation players at steal deal prices. Andre Russell, whose a vital cog of this team also looks to be dauntingly fit and ready for this new season. Last year because of his rusty form the team had obnoxiously suffered especially in their lower-order batting. Also, with the addition of Shakib Al Hasan, the inferiority of Sunil Narine looks adroitly covered.

In terms of their bowling department, the leader Pat Cummins who was reasonably effective in his last season, looks like the management once again has resorted some faith in him. Someone like Sunil Narine and Varun Chakaravarthy can also be seen as handy prospects especially at some of the dry Indian venues. Accompanying Pat Cummins, the franchise also has an exquisite pool of Indian fast bowlers who with their every IPL edition have looked enormously improved. All in all, by having a squad that vigorously carries a lot of depth in each of the departments, one can immaculately call them as other favourites of the 14th IPL season.
