The Sharjah Cricket Ground holds a special place in spin all-rounder Rahul Tewatia’s career. Tewatia became a known personality among all the cricket fans after he smacked as many as five sixes off Sheldon Cottrell during IPL 2020. Playing for Rajasthan Royals, Tewatia produced decent results both with the bat and ball in the previous edition in the United Arab Emirates.

In 14 matches, he scored 255 runs at an average of 42.50 and a strike rate of 139.34. The 28-year-old also picked up ten wickets with the ball while bowling at an economy rate of 7.08. However, the Haryana-born failed to weave the same magic in the 2021 edition of the T20 extravaganza.

In seven matches, Tewatia picked only two wickets while scoring just 86 runs at a strike rate of 128.35. The spinner is a valuable asset for Rajasthan Royals. Thus the franchise will be hoping that the all-rounder finds his dominating form again in UAE during the remainder of IPL 2021.
