The summit clash of the Indian Premier League’s 2021 edition is currently underway between the Chennai Super Kings and the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Dubai International Stadium. Winning the toss, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan opted to bowl. Notably, the Knight Riders have not lost even a single game while chasing this season in the UAE leg.

“We are going to have a bowl; the wicket looks good and there’s some dew around. We are going to give our everything tonight. We are going with the same team,” Morgan said at the toss.

His counterpart, CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captaining his 300th T20 encounter, said: “We are looking to bowl first as well, initially it stops a bit and as the game goes on it settles down and toss is uncontrollable and we are prepared for both.”

“It’s been a long time (300 T20 games as captain) We started T20 in around 2005-06 and most of the games have been franchise cricket and in the last five years there have been a lot of T20 games in international cricket as well. We are playing with the same squad. Often what really dictates terms is the result and I feel our international players are equipped to deal with whatever the situation maybe,” he added.

CricTracker experts predict KKR to win

Speaking at CricTracker’s Live Show In the Air, former cricketers and expert Manvindar Bisla, Lalchand Rajput and VRV Singh predicted KKR to win the 2021 season final.

“It’s an unpredictable game, anything can happen, but KKR has a slight edge going into this final. The numbers and history will not make much of a difference, especially in these kinds of contests,” Rajput said.

Concurring with him, former KKR player Manvinder Bisla also opted the Eoin Morgan-led unit to surpass CSK, while picking Sunil Narine as his Player of the Match contender. VRV Singh chose Shubman Gill.
