With Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, and MS Dhoni not being Indian internationals anymore, CSK’s middle-order might look a bit fragile on the paper. However, the trio still has some gas left in their tank. Rayudu, who has a strike rate of 174.50 in IPL 2021, has played some magnificent knocks this season including a 27-ball 72 against MI.

Hailed as Mr. IPL, Raina has been a cornerstone of CSK’s batting line-up ever since the inception of IPL. Although he’s not contributing with big scores anymore, the southpaw has played some handy cameos. Dhoni has also been far away from his best in terms of batting. However, his wicket-keeping and on-field decision-making are précised as ever.

All-rounders – Moeen Ali, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran

Ali and Jadeja have been delivering in all three departments and CSK would count on them once again.

On the other hand, Sam Curran replaced in-form Dwayne Bravo in the last game. As Dhoni mentioned, the Caribbean all-rounder had sustained a niggle. Hence, the Chennai-based team would not like to risk his fitness ahead of the playoffs. Moreover, Curran is a proven star of this format and can win games single-handedly on his day.

With some extra pace in arsenal, Hazlewood offers a different dimension to the bowling attack. Shardul Thakur is the remaining player of the line-up and SRH must beware of him. After all, the fast bowler just can’t do anything wrong nowadays. Not to forget, Chahar and Thakur are also handy batters lower down the order.
