Mumbai Indians registered their second win of the season to go at the top of the IPL points table on Saturday (17th April), whereas the search for the first win remains on for Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are reeling at the bottom of the table with three losses in as many games.

Not even four changes in their team could change their fortunes against Rohit Sharma’s side as their wobbly middle-order collapsed once again to mess up what seemed like a straightforward chase. Having restricted Mumbai to a par total of 150, the Sunrisers teed off at the start, with Jonny Bairstow going berserk against Trent Boult and company.

The 67-run opening stand was broken when the dangerous Bairstow got himself hit-wicket and left the team’s middle-order exposed. It did not take the opposition to make inroads after that and once Hardik Pandya’s sensational throw caught David Warner short of his ground, a similar story unfolded before the team was dismissed 13 runs short of the target.

Boult, who was taken to the cleaners by Bairstow in his first over that produced 18 runs, came back into the game in some style as he finished 3/28, which included a stellar partnership with Jasprit Bumrah in the death overs. Although, that was not the only thing he grabbed eyeballs for in the game.

While the Kiwi pacer was fielding outside the circle towards the end of the game, he ran after a drive that went past him. Running instantly made him lose his balance but short of time, Boult continued to run instead of getting his balance back. In the process, he ended up losing all his control and fell on the ground hilariously after running for some distance.

This caught the attention of everyone including his New Zealand teammate James Neesham, who could not control his laughter and requested the franchise and all others to send the “best clipping” of his mate’s comical fall. Taking to Twitter, Neesham wrote “Everyone send me their best GIF of Boulty falling over in the field tonight please” with many ‘tear of joys’ emoticons following.
