The Sunrisers Hyderabad have done well to put together a strong squad at the 2022 auction table. However, the team has yet again started their campaign on a dull note by losing their first two league matches. On both occasions, the team was unable to chase down the target on the board. As a result, they are languishing at the bottom of the points table.

In the first league match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), they gave away 200+ runs on the board and lost by a big margin of 61 runs. The following fixture saw them falling short by 12 runs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a chase of 169. Hence, the team management is expected to do some tactical changes or do replacements in their line-up.

Here are 3 Changes SRH need to make for their next game against CSK

1. Rahul Tripathi opens with Kane Willamson

In the first two league matches, the youngster Abhishek Sharma was seen along with the captain Kane Williamson opening the batting for the SRH team. But, Abhishek has been able to score a total of only 22 runs off 30 balls, due to which the team has failed to get a positive start in the power-play overs.

It will be quite important for the SRH team to get a stable start, with fielding restrictions in place to post a strong score on the board. For this reason, Rahul Tripathi, who is batting at no. 3 can be invited to open the innings along with the captain. In his last outing for SRH, Tripathi garnered 44 runs off 30 balls and stitched important partnerships with the middle-order to help the team in getting closer to the opposition total.

In the IPL history, Rahul Tripathi has opened on 24 occasions and has scored 687 runs at an average of 29.87, with a strike rate of 138.23. With this kind of stats, he can be a possible candidate for a position in the opening slot. Abhishek can come at the lower batting positions and play his natural attacking game.
