One of the best all-rounders going around, Kieron Pollard was retained by Mumbai Indians (MI) for a hefty sum of INR 6 cr. He has been an integral part of the Mumbai squad over the last few years. His ability to win games single-handedly makes him a beneficial addition to the five-time IPL champions.

However, he has failed to live up to his name in IPL 2022. Pollard has managed only 57 runs in the five matches he played so far. He has also been ineffective with the ball, managing only one wicket, going at a rate of 10 runs per over,  He was given preference over Hardik Pandya, a move which hasn’t yielded any dividends as of now.

Pollard’s outings so far in the 15th edition of the tournament pretty much sum up Mumbai Indians’ run in the competition. They have lost all their five matches in the competition and toil at the bottom of the IPL 2022 points table. The Mumbai management will hope Pollard to fire all cylinders as they look to bounce back in the competition.
