The veteran Australian opener has resumed regular duties of scoring runs in the Delhi Capitals colors. Although he joined a bit late due to Cricket Australia’s (CA) guidelines, has already made a difference at the top. The southpaw along with Prithvi Shaw is one of the deadliest opening pairs in the tournament.

After a dismal campaign last year where he had a public fallout with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) management, Warner is back with a bang. He scored a scintillating half-century against a solid-looking Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowling. This half-century helped his side in putting up a humongous total of 215 runs on the board. As a result, Delhi bagged a crucial victory against the Knight Riders.

Warner has consistently proved himself to be one of the best openers any side could ask for. He was the top scorer for Hyderabad in their title-winning journey of 2016 and also boasts two orange caps to his name in the years 2015 and 2017. The southpaw will hope to replicate the same in the Delhi colors as they aim for their maiden title in the tournament.
