Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings will lock horns in the 11th match of IPL 2022, being played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams have played two matches, where it was a shocking start for the defending champions Chennai Super Kings beginning with two losses in a row. Punjab have won and lost each game.

Both teams suffered a defeat against KKR by a 6-wicket margin at Wankhede. The next match will be happening at Brabourne where Punjab Kings are playing their first match this season, and Chennai Super Kings have lost a high-scoring match earlier.

Chennai Super Kings weren’t helped by the toss as every toss-winning team chose to field, and have won 7 out of 9 times. Though the Orange Cap winner of IPL 2021 Ruturaj Gaikwad is yet to find his form this season, they have Robin Uthappa among the runs and MS Dhoni, freed up from captaincy duties, back to his vintage form. Dwayne Bravo and Dwaine Pretorius had brilliant numbers with the ball, but they need their Indian bowlers to step up.

Once their powerful opening pair of Mayank Agarwal and Shikhar Dhawan was out at low scores, Punjab Kings could not find a way to win in their previous game. However, they have found another star player at No.3, with Bhanuka Rajapaksa not just top-scoring in both their matches, but also having a brilliant strike rate.

The opening pair along with Bhanuka, Shahrukh, and Odean now forms a formidable batting lineup when all of them are consistent. Punjab Kings’ bowling has been strengthened by a returning Kagiso Rabada, but are still finding a way to take regular wickets. New skipper Ravindra Jadeja will be hoping to open the account for CSK in the battle of Kings.

Meanwhile, here are some of the important stats and numbers ahead of Match 11 between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League 2022:
