Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings will be facing each other in the 46th match of IPL 2022, to be played at MCA International Stadium in Pune. Both the teams had a completely opposite performance last year, with CSK being the champions and SRH finishing last place in the points table. However, SRH have had a much better season so far this year, with five wins and three losses, in comparison with CSK’s two wins and six losses. Both the teams played only once at Pune this season, with Sunrisers Hyderabad losing to RR and Chennai Super Kings losing to GT. The teams have faced each other earlier this season, with SRH winning the encounter.

Though the SRH captain Kane Williamson is not in a good form, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, and Aiden Markram have been outstanding for the team. Umran Malik has undergone a sharp transition from a bowler leaking runs to someone unplayable now. Though SRH bowlers, barring Umran, had an off day in their last match, they are a formidable unit that is capable of destroying any team.

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube and Ambati Rayudu have batted brilliantly for CSK this season, but the issue remains the top-order. The Orange Cap winner of 2021, Ruturaj Gaikwad, scoring at an average of just 17 is severely concerning. The overseas bowlers in Dwayne Bravo and Maheesh Theekshana have bowled brilliantly, but the Indian bowlers need to be more consistent. In a turnaround, Ravindra Jadeja has handed over the captaincy back to MS Dhoni to focus on his game. Much to the joy of all the CSK fans, it is Dhoni who will be leading the Men in Yellow again in the remaining matches of the tournament.

Meanwhile, here are some of the important stats and numbers ahead of Match 46 between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2022:
