IPL 2022: One player each team would like to have in their squad from the previous season
IPL teams would surely love to pick their proven players from the previous edition if given an opportunity again.
2. Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians)
The release of the Pandya brothers from their squad has made Mumbai suffer in 2022 since they lack depth in the all-rounders department. Many thought Hardik would be retained but ended up being released as Mumbai went with Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kieron Pollard as their 4 choices.
Pandya was then roped in by Gujarat Titans and was appointed captain. Hardik has been great with the Titans winning six out of the seven matches played. Hardik’s inclusion in the middle order would have helped Mumbai strengthen their batting, bowling, and fielding as he is the type of guy who can change the match from any of the three skills.
He is now more mature as a player and has been promoting himself up the order to score runs for the benefit of his side. This side of Hardik Pandya along with his bowling skills would have made Mumbai Indians more lethal than expected.
