However, in the ongoing IPL 2022, Hooda has been one of the finest batters of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) with 406 runs in 14 appearances at an average of 31.23, and a strike rate of 133.55. He has four fifties in this season, which is more than what he had until 2021 season combined.

If the wickets have fallen early in the powerplay overs, the 27-year has shown terrific composure to build the innings and steer the team in fine fashion. In this season, he has been able to convert his starts into a big scores, which has certainly helped the team to secure crucial victories.
