Pune captain MS Dhoni said: “A lot has changed. IPL is different as we can play with four international players. It has its own challenges. You win some and lose some. KP is a tremendous player and there are very less players who can replace him. We have a couple of changes, Albie and Saurabh Tiwary come in for KP and Ishant.”

After winning the toss KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir said: “We are going to bowl. Chasing pretty well in the tournament and don’t want to change. There is a lot of pressure in this format. The challenge is picking four foreign internationals. Not a lot changes in the T20 format over the 40 overs. He (Manish Pandey) has been hitting the ball really well, it is unfortunate. Hopefully he recovers quickly. Just the one change, Satish replaces Manish.”

In match number 20 of IPL 9, Rising Pune Supergiants host the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Maharashtra Cricket Association stadium in Pune. KKR have won the toss and have opted to bowl first.
