It looks like the Gujarat Lions are slowly losing their plot towards the playoffs as they suffered back to back defeats at their home ground SCA Stadium, Rajkot. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils won their 5th game out of the 7 they have played by defeating the home team by 8 wickets. After being put in GL into bat, DD sent back the strong top 3 of Dwayne Smith, Brendon McCullum and Finch. However, Dinesh Karthik with the help of Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina took GL to a respectable total of 149/7.
Rishabh Pant and Quinton de Kock’s opening partnership gave complete control over the game to DD. At a point it looked like DD will be winning by 10 wickets but the openers got dismissed and they had to settle down to an 8-wicket win.
