The home skipper said they were also looking to bat first Suresh Raina said: “We would have batted first too. I will leave after a month [paternal leave], but right now me and MS have played so many matches together, we played the final together for CSK and the crowd is looking forward to seeing MS, and us too. We have 3 changes today. Tambe comes in for Sangwan, Jakati is in, and Akshdeep Nath replaces Ishan Kishan.”
Pune have not made any changes in the squad and staying true to his reputation, Dhoni hasn’t made any changes to the winning combination. After having won the toss MS Dhoni said: “We are batting first. There is a bit of grass cover which will make sure that the wicket stays together. Towards one end, there is a bald patch which might scuff up. It’s a pretty good wicket, so no real need to make any change.”
In the 6th match of the IPL 9 Gujarat Lions play the Rising Pune Supergiants in Rajkot. Visiting skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat first on a wicket that looks really good for batting and might slow down a tad bit as the game progresses.
