Is AB de Villiers still available for today's match?

Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman AB de Villiers tweeted a few hours back that he will be missing tonight’s must-win game against the Gujarat Lions due to injury but a few hours later the tweet was deleted which has led to speculations that his tweet might have been a joke. The right-handed batsman had missed the first two games for his franchise due to a back problem but performed extremely well on his comeback.

He never looked like a batsman making a comeback and scored a scintillating 46 balls 89 against the Kings XI Punjab which included 3 fours and 9 biggies. But unfortunately, the talented cricketer could not help his team emerge victorious as Preity Zinta’s men chased down the target with ease.

After missing the first two matches the South African featured in all the matches for his franchise but could not do any good to his team’s results. Bangalore had another major boost when Indian skipper Virat Kohli returned to the side in their fourth game. But despite all these boosts Bangalore has not been able to enjoy success in the tenth season of the Indian Premier league as they have lost four of their five matches so far.

With de Villiers tweet the hopes of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise of winning the match had been struck with a big blow but now in an amazing turn of events, Mr.360 has deleted the tweet that he posted 2 hours back. Now it’s difficult to figure out what that indicates but it would be really interesting to see whether the Proteas batsman walks out on the pitch. Taking to his twitter handle De Villiers wrote, “Disappointed to be missing the match tonight for RCB, due to injury. Good luck to @imVkohli and the team. Let’s go @RCBTweets !!”

Looking at the kind of form RCB is in, the absence of the big hitter definitely marks the Gujarat Lions as the favourites. But now Royal Challengers Bangalore would be hoping that the 33-year-old makes it to the lineup, much to the disappointment of the Gujarat Lions franchise. Having said that we all need to wait for the start of the match to find out what exactly happens.
