Preparations have been in full swing for Team India as the take on arch-rivals Pakistan in the much-anticipated match on Sunday (4th June). Both the teams looked geared up in their respective practice sessions and will want to tick all boxes before stepping on the field tomorrow.
The rivalry between the two sides continues as the match involves the emotions of two nations and the clash is not only limited to the cricket ground. It has been seen that even the Intelligence agency has its plans for the match in Birmingham.
Inter-Services Intelligence Agency
The Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) as per an India Today report is planning to send as many as 14 operatives for the match between neighbours with the aim of displaying banners related to Kashmir. If the sources are to be believed, they (agents) have been asked to display A3 placards bearing pro-Kashmir messages during the match.
Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan has instructed its agents to display these slogans between the match: ‘Kashmir Seeks Attention’, ‘Kashmir is bleeding’, ‘We stand with Kashmir’, and ‘Free the state of Jammu and Kashmir now’.
However, according to the sources, India’s Intelligence is aware of this and the idea of Pakistan’s Intelligence agency is to grab International attention.
It has been believed that the reason for displaying banner has been the non-affectionate concordance between the two nations. Moreover, there’s been a spate of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and a Border Action Team recently killed two Indian jawans and mutilated their bodies.
The second important reason can be the denial of the bilateral series between the two nations. As rightly said by the Narendra Modi-led government that until Pakistan support terrorism, the Indo-Pak series is “almost impossible”.
However, cricket fans will be expecting it to be crackerjack of a game that should go down to the wire.
