Rajasthan Royals were up against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last fixture of IPL 2021 and suffered a loss by seven wickets. After the loss, all-rounder Chris Morris stepped up for a virtual press conference and opened up on a question asked by a journalist. While he answered general questions related to the game, a journalist went out of the box to make his query.

The journalist added that “Sunil Gavaskar added in his column today that Rajasthan Royals are more interested in gaining followers on social media rather delivery on the field.” Morris didn’t look in a fine mood to answer this and just wrapped the question by adding “it’s his opinion, end off.”

It is known by fans around the world that the social media department of Rajasthan is extremely witty and hilarious and keeps coming with humourous content on their social media handles. RR social media admins have also been credited for keeping their fans entertained and giving them a good time.

However, when RR’s social media department got notice of this activity, they shared it on their Twitter by adding, “100-150 followers kam kar de, par qualify kar de.” (Make our followers less by 100-150 but let us qualify for Playoffs.)

Rajasthan Royals struggling in the IPL 2021

Talking about the status of Rajasthan in the current scenario, they are sitting on the sixth slot on the 2021 IPL points table. They have won four out of their 10 total games played. If they look keen to qualify for playoffs, they will have to turn the tables quickly in games to come.

They had their last clash against SRH and lost the contest by seven wickets where skipper Sanju Samson talked with the bat mostly.

“I think it was a decent score. The wicket was a bit sticky, they were bowling well. We could have got 10-20 runs more. On a sticky wicket once you get a start you need to keep ongoing. I wanted to keep going after the powerplay but we kept losing wickets, so I wanted to stick on and have a partnership. We wanted to put on a respectable total to fight back. But we got what we had targeted after the timeout,” said Samson after the match.
